You and the Discipleship Pathway
You and the Discipleship Pathway
In this video, Rachel dives into the heart of our mission, emphasizing the four transformative pathways: Worship, Connect, Serve, and Influence. She also sheds light on the significance of recognizing The Discipleship Pathway and the role it plays as you journey towards growing as a group leader and disciple of Jesus.
Our discipleship journey is guided by four transformative pathways: Worship, Connect, Serve, and Influence. As a dedicated small group leader, your role is pivotal in supporting your group members as they embark on this profound journey with Jesus.
Worship: Many begin to nurture their spiritual growth here at Centerpoint through our weekend worship experience. It's a powerful starting point where we collectively lift our hearts in praise and connect with God.
Connect: Building strong connections is the natural next step in our discipleship journey. As members of Centerpoint, the desire to make friends and connect with others is an essential part of growing in Christ. Through small groups and meaningful relationships, we find support, encouragement, and spiritual fellowship that enriches our walk with Jesus.
Serve: Identifying our God-given gifts is a vital aspect of spiritual growth. Serving transforms us from spectators to contributors in the cause of Christ. Through various volunteer opportunities and ministry involvement, we discover the joy of using our unique gifts to help others, fostering a sense of obedience and fulfillment. As a small group leader your role extends beyond discussions by guiding your members in discovering their spiritual gifts and encouraging them to embrace opportunities to serve, fostering obedience and fulfillment.
Influence: The final step in our discipleship journey is Influence. As we grow in Christ, encourage your group members to naturally desire to share the love of Jesus with others. Influence extends beyond our immediate circles, allowing the transformative power of Christ's love to impact our communities and beyond. It's about embodying the teachings of Jesus in our daily lives and spreading his love through our actions and words.
While these pathways aren't necessarily consecutive, there's an organic flow that many members follow. Whether you're starting with worship, connecting with others, serving in various capacities, or influencing those around you, each pathway contributes to your spiritual growth in unique ways.
