Senior Leadership Team Director Of Next Steps

The person in this role will give leadership and direct to our groups, teams, first impressions and outreaches that all Centerpoint people are engaging in our discipleship pathway and experiencing Christ centered community in life-giving roles and relationships.

The Next Steps Director is a joyful, authentic, loving, and inspiring person. This passionate Spirit-filled person will seek to love and lead people in a life changing connection with Christ and believes that a relationship and a role for a person is a key step to fulfilling that purpose. The NSD should be an engaging, detail-oriented, and self-motivated leader. This person knows that responsibilities do not mean ‘do all things’ – but rather build, motivate, and manage teams to see the responsibilities accomplished! The NSD is a servant leader who will help equip many others to carry out these particular ministries while leading by example in their willingness to implement, as needed. It is expected that the person in this role is a regular attendee of Centerpoint’s weekend services, is Spiritually mature, and able to model the Christian life and financial stewardship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1 – NEXT STEPS DEPARTMENT
Provide leadership and management to the First Impressions, CP Groups, CP Teams, and CPGO / Outreach leaders to create a synergistic, effective Next Steps department.

  • Lead and design the strategies that make it easy and compelling for people to take their next steps on our discipleship pathway: Worship, Connect, Serve, Influence.
  • Participate in the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) providing integration and direction to CP Ministries from your area of responsibility and oversight.
  • Establish the Next Steps department as a cohesive, integrated coworking Ministry Area with a team culture aligned with the Centerpoint vision, culture and Ops Code through regular, periodic Ministry Area team meetings, rallies, and communications.
  • Establish and maintain clear communication flow to and from your direct reports so they are in the loop on all matters.
  • Direct your leadership team in building teams of volunteers to execute ministry.
  • Develop and manage ministry area budgets for adequately resourcing the work including capital planning.
  • Ensure all managerial functions are being implemented with managers and leaders.
  • Align all leaders and teams with the vision, mission, and values of Centerpoint by keeping it as a priority talking point within the team.
  • Carry out all HR protocols with your team including documentation of any corrective action plans and ensure that your staff does the same with any other staff.

2 – First Impressions
Execute a comprehensive assimilation strategy, from initial welcome process through integration of every CP person into a CP Team to serve on and a CP Group to grow in.

  • Create an extraordinary first experience that welcomes and engages newcomers and empowers and supports those who bring guests.
  • Develop and implement a user-friendly and reliable system to capture the information needed to follow up on every person who connects.
  • Train and resource volunteer teams in highly relational and appropriate engagement of visitors and guests.
  • Build and manage a robust team of volunteers to execute follow up strategies including phone calls, personal communication, and invitations to next opportunities.
  • Create a system to track progress on every person and family and integrate the information across all ministry areas that leads people through the discipleship pathway and toward partnership.
  • Create a beautiful, inviting, hospitable, safe, and welcoming first impression on campus for all weekend worship services.
  • Be present and develop a team to provide assistance as the primary host/pastor for our weekend services.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and management for all weekend services.
  • Facilitate the assimilation process to help guests become connected members.

3 – CP Groups – CONNECT
Create a culture of connection where all CP people are invited to experience community in Christ through a small group for intentional discipleship and growth.

  • 70% of CP attendees are regularly in a group.
  • Use the Next Steps tracking system to pull people into connecting opportunities with the ability to measure engagement and progress.
  • Develop impactful and inspirational trainings for volunteer group leaders that creates community and connection for next level leaders.
  • Create a strategy for supporting and building CP Groups by identifying new opportunities, groups, niche need solutions. Recruit and train leaders, develop teams, and integrate with the Calendar 3-2-1 flow.
  • Develop a master communication schedule for recruiting, training, onboarding, and launching groups throughout the year and coordinate with Communications and Calendar 3-2-1 flow.

4 – CP Teams – SERVE
Ensure that CP Teams are growing and thriving with volunteer engagement and excellent volunteer leadership development and that all CP people can be in a role to serve.

  • Create and implement a pathway to lead all people who attend CP to serve on a team.
  • Recruit, train, and embed team coordinators in every ministry area of CP.
  • Train, support, and communicate with team coordinators regularly to ensure that information, CP priorities and ministry flow is aligned across all ministry areas.
  • Lead team coordinators in developing expansive roles in coordination and cooperation across all ministry areas.
  • Develop necessary systems and planning to coordinate a team experience protocol with people tracking, calendar coordination, and appropriate ministry area training.
  • Carry out a church-wide Ministry Leadership Team celebration night three times a year, with the opportunity for the Lead Pastor to be part of the planning and input and to have time to speak to the leaders & core volunteers.

5 – CPGO/ Outreach – INFLUENCE
Lead the implementation of a strategy for CPGO/ Outreach with local and global missions, so that CP people can influence the world around us with the mission and love of Jesus.

  • Lead and support the CPGO Board in the systematic and strategic development of local opportunities to influence and global opportunities to invest.
  • Create and manage volunteer teams to pull people into an influence experience and local mission.
  • Develop special events throughout the year to promote and educate the church on engaging in Influence by creating teams of volunteers to own specific mission opportunities and events and execute them
  • Every missionary we support should have an individual team that stays up on communication with the organization and their needs and coordinates with CP
  • Every special event should have a team leader with unique volunteers who coordinate with CP Teams and communicate across ministries (report to staff, leaders, and church as appropriate)
  • Develop local community partnership opportunities to provide influence experiences for all CP Attendees in cooperation with and as a pathway into CP Teams and CP Groups.

6 – Church-wide Overall Ministry
Contribute to the overall mission of Centerpoint through pastoral and leadership engagement.

  • Provide leadership for various ministries and volunteer leadership development.
  • Engage with teaching, training and speaking as needed for various ministry settings.
  • Is called to serve the body of believers and to encourage them in their faith as a “God-ordained minister.”
  • Works collaboratively with SLT to accomplish goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Is a strategic level 4 leader (a mindset of developing over doing)
2) Is graced with the gift of leadership, teaching, and faith.
3) Is a member of the Centerpoint church with 2 plus years of ministry leadership.
4) A bachelor’s degree in ministry and/or the equivalent in ministry experience.
5) Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6) Able to build relational equity with volunteer leaders.
7) This person will have a strong base of experience in multi-layered management and leadership.

Director or Pastor of Children's Ministry

The person in this role will lead our entire children’s ministry, engaging families, kids and volunteers so that CP Kids will have a safe, fun, inspiring children’s ministry that will disciple kids in their Christian life with a foundation on God’s Word, God’s presence, and the power of His Spirit.

Ideally, this person is married and has children of their own, giving them rapport and relatability to CP families and community members. This person is an inspiring leader and motivator of people, and enjoys building a team of leaders and volunteers, and has the leadership skill to effectively manage a team of 200 volunteers with 10-15 point leaders and key staff. This person loves leading a team to create an atmosphere of faith and fun for kids in a powerful, engaging, dynamic children’s ministry experience where kids grow in knowing their Heavenly Father’s love. This person has a love for children and loves to see kids discover and live in the love of Jesus. KEY RESULT AREAS WITH RESPONSIBILITIES:

*This is a suggested breakdown of hours in a full time role, with the goal to effectively accomplish the work. Sometimes that will require an adjustment of priority and use of time within the role, according to the need. Sometimes that will require more commitment than 40 hours will allow, such as in seasons when there is a holiday or a large event – and the level of commitment that it will take to effectively accomplish the work is what is expected. WEEKEND SERVICES CPKIDS LEADERSHIP -30% of the role |12*
LEAD THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A WORLD CLASS, FUN, SAFE, SPIRITUALLY POWERFUL CHILDREN’S MINISTRY (Nursery through 5th grade) PROGRAM FOR THE WEEKEND SERVICES.

  • Carry out the general vision and direction for CPKids at Centerpoint Church under the visionary leadership of and in alignment with the Lead Pastor.
  • Assume full responsibilities as point person for CPKids, providing spiritual oversight, vision-casting, strategic development, and coaching for CPKids team members.
  • Provide full, identical*, equal quality CPKids services at all weekend worship services. Be present for all CPKids services/activities or appoint a designated, responsible leader to be present. *unless SLT Next Gen Director has approved an exception.
  • Personally minister to kids in any or all of the CPKids environments of weekend services, to demonstrate for leaders, and to create a positive, personal sense of love and care between you as the CMD and the kids.
  • Ensure that every age group and class has the appropriate staffing each Sunday morning so that there are no vacancies; Step in and serve in that capacity yourself if need be.
  • Ensure that CPKids practices and protocols are in compliance with applicable child care requirements and laws.
  • Ensure that protocols include background checks for any direct-contact volunteers, and that a system is in place for identifying approved workers (a certain color shirt or lanyard, etc.).
  • Implement processes and protocols to ensure the safety of the children and to prevent any possibility of abuse or neglect.
  • Create and implement a plan for ongoing leadership development, cross training, and succession planning for all levels of leadership within CPKids.

ADMINISTRATION – 20% of the role | 8*
PROVIDE ADMINISTRATIVE PLANNING AND ORGANIZATION FOR CPKIDS

  • Oversee overall development of the children’s ministry budget and lead the development in maximizing resources appropriately.
  • Ensure highest standards of safety are identified and maintained and that all incidents are appropriately reported and managed.
  • Determine/designate or prepare curriculum and/or programming for nursery, preschool, K-5th for use throughout the year in cooperation with Directional Team input and priorities.
  • We have effectively used 252 Basics/Orange as well as Hillsong Kids curriculum. If you want to recommend another curriculum, a detailed proposal specifying content scope & sequence will be needed for the Executive Pastor and a Board committee to evaluate and approve.
  • Create and implement a process for scheduling staff and volunteers for all areas of CPKids and CPKIDS CARE.
  • Create and implement a strategic communication plan for CPKIDS for both internal and external reach, and develop a process for consistent communication of monthly schedules to all teachers and volunteers.
  • Create and implement a process to distribute weekly all-team staffing schedules/volunteer schedules and reminders and prompts. Ensure that all teachers and key volunteer workers get a reminder call.
  • Develop and implement a retention plan for families within CPKIDS
  • Attend our quarterly Ministry Leader Team (MLT) gathering.
  • Oversee the overall look and condition of all the CPKids rooms for Weekend Worship Services and Special Children’s Events; engage volunteers, staff, and teachers in taking care of it.
  • Do a general facilities freshen up process every 4 months for all CPKids areas; include potential purchase of new items in annual budget; request touch up paint/repairs to facilities director, or undertake yourself with volunteers.
  • Coordinate a process for the consistent re-organization of toys and sanitization of toys in the nurseries and pre-school rooms.
  • Ensure stocking of all the following for all CPKids areas: incident report forms, first aid kit, diapers, wipes, diaper cream, disinfectant spray, hand sanitizer, and any other needed items.

TEAM BUILDING – 20% of the role | 8*
BUILD AND TRAIN AN EXCELLENT TEAM BY EMPOWERING AS MANY VOLUNTEERS AS POSSIBLE IN ALL LEVELS OF CHILDREN’S MINISTRY AS A CP TEAM AND BY MANAGING THE CM STAFF WELL.

  • Recruit, enlist and train the appropriate adult leaders who will shepherd, teach and disciple our children.
  • Develop and operate by a teacher training manual and a step-by-step process for new teacher recruitment, training, and deployment into service.
  • Whenever possible, invest in, enlist, reach out to and include as many adults and older teens from Centerpoint Church as possible in all children’s ministry programming and outreach type events.
  • Strive to over-staff ALL POSITIONS, aim to double up with a newer leader shadow learning from a more experienced one at all times.
  • Call all teachers/helpers – from nursery to 5th grade workers the week before they serve and encourage/remind them of their service. If appropriate enlist others to help in the calling – but make sure it happens.
  • Maintain a high standard when recruiting and selecting CM workers perform background checks on all adult CM workers.
  • Provide ‘hands-on’ ministry modeling; hold an all-CM team building and training gathering 4 times per year to communicate, vision-cast, train, thank and inspire volunteers.
  • Provide ongoing onboarding and training of new volunteers and staff.
  • Ensure that any paid staff are on-boarded as staff of Centerpoint Church, with a commitment to the larger Body and vision of Centerpoint.
  • Ensure that CPKIDS staff are introduced to the larger team and to the Directional Leaders in particular.
  • Carry out CPKIDS staff team building and work meetings and periodically bring CPKIDS staff to the larger Staff Rally on Tuesday mornings.

STAFF TEAM PARTNERSHIP 12% | 5*
CONTRIBUTE TOWARD THE OVERALL MISSION OF CENTERPOINT CHURCH THROUGH COLLABORATION AND TEAM WORK WITH THE STAFF TEAM AND MINISTERING TO THE LARGER CHURCH BODY.

  • Come to bi-weekly Team Rally and engage as part of the all-staff team of Centerpoint.
  • Come to any monthly Management Team meeting for training.
  • Participate in any NEXT GEN ministry area meetings, and be prepared to report on highlights of the children’s ministry, including God-stories, and any problem or issues;
  • Come to CPKIDS staff and meetings with your SLT lead prepared with highlights, stats on # of volunteers, kids in our programs, and progress reports.
  • Participate in staff team-building events such as getaways to a conference or planning day.
  • Participate in other all-church events in collaboration with the staff team – i.e. Annual Celebration gathering, seek nights, and the like.
  • Be available as a Minister on Duty, ready to minister to people who come on to Centerpoint Church needing spiritual care.

CP KIDS CARE 12% | 5*
OVERSEE THE OPERATION AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE ‘AFTER HOURS’ CHILDREN’S MINISTRY “CP KIDS CARE” FOR SELECT NON-WEEKEND SERVICE MINISTRIES OR EVENTS.

  • Responsible for the management duties of CPKIDS CARE or its delegation.
  • Establish clear process for ministries to apply for or request CPKIDS CARE services for their event or program.
  • Provide documentation for the processes.
  • Work with a flexible spirit and a wise stewardship mindset for providing CPKIDS CARE.
  • Establish CPKIDS CARE volunteer and staff roster.

OUTREACH EVENTS 6% | 2*
CARRY OUT CHILDREN & FAMILY OUTREACH EVENTS SUCH AS VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL.

  • Develop & produce at least one VBS in the spring or summer, either directly or through a point leader and team (preferably) – or similar alternative
  • Lead and produce one or two outside events per year for children of our church to reach out or have fun together outside of church services (Caroling, beach, movie night, Harvest Festival, Spring Thing etc.).
  • Offer a parenting training seminar or Family Discipleship Training type seminar a couple times per year.
  • Consider offering a midweek kids program, like Awana, or continue our Kids on a Mission approach.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

Progressive experience in an educational setting (School, preschool, or equivalent) along with an undergraduate degree in Education or similar. Graduate Degree preferred. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE:

A leader at Centerpoint Church is a mature disciple of Jesus with competence and passion in creating and empowering an environment where vision, mission, and values are centralized and creativity, initiative, and passion are encouraged, allowing the full effect of Godly leaders to flourish.

A candidate for a Director role should have 7-10 years of significant management and leadership experience in ministry or non-ministry environments. Extensive experience in overseeing multiple teams with complex and overlapping areas of responsibility. Leadership experience within a large church environment or not-for-profit organization helpful. Pastoral experience welcomed.

Assistant Youth Pastor

This person will help lead our CP YOUTH experience so that Centerpoint students are raised up as followers of Jesus who are living out the Kingdom of God and reaching their community.  This person will work mostly with Middle School, and should have the chops to rise up beyond ‘assistant’ at some point.

We are looking for a responsible and dynamic person with a passion for the Lord and His work at Centerpoint!
This role interacts with all members of the church; staff, ministry leaders, volunteers, and attendees and should naturally reflect our values of Fun, Innovation, Growth, Creativity, Acceptance, Passion, and Supernatural. The role is highly relational and requires flexibility, planning and organization, shepherding, servant leadership, and a passion for ministering to youth.

SPIRITUAL PROFILE
Centerpoint is looking for people who are pursuing an active personal life with Jesus Christ, who are committed to prayer, and are responsive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. Staff are expected to pursue habits and practices that promote personal growth and discipleship in self and others. Centerpoint staff will be members of the church, regularly participate in the life of the church both in weekend services and mid-week programs as appropriate and commit to serving and contributing to the furtherance of the ministry as a member beyond your employment.

KEY RESULTS OUTCOMES
1. Provide partnership to the CP Youth pastor and team by implementing the priorities of CPY within directed areas (Including, Middle School, High School, Camps, and Special Events) so that CPY overall outcomes are achieved.

  • Teach/Preach: be available for 25% of the preaching/teaching for midweek and weekend services & events.
  • Lead and facilitate camps alongside Youth Pastor/Director.
  • Serve as undershepherd for youth small group health: facilitate counsel for small group leaders (listen, love, counsel), help with small group logistics.
  • Pastoral shepherding of families/students/leaders/staff: help plan for weekend and midweek programming, organizing fun games and activities/sermon illustrations/events for services.
  • Run outreach & family events.

2. Create vibrant, impactful ministry environments and programming for CPYouth through Weekend and Midweek experiences, special events with a special emphasis on developing and executing a weekend experience for Middle School students.

  • Oversee weekend services: programming & student volunteer/leadership team.
  • Oversee development of small group leaders.
  • Oversee the LIT team (High School Leadership Team): establish goals and help with planning any events/retreats, handle application process, create curriculum/bible studies focusing on topics like servant leadership, purity, identity, leadership & using biblical wisdom.

3. Align CPYouth priorities and processes within Department Outcomes and CP Vision Frame.

  • Create & develop youth pastoral Internship program: work with School of Ministry to create ministry opportunities for students.
  • Design and implement a clear pathway for students to participate in ministry.
  • Incorporate the Ops Code and Core Values into the fabric of ministry with clarity.

4. Develop and lead youth through age appropriate experience of the CP Discipleship Pathway.

  • Coordinate with other ministry areas to identify and integrate resourcing for youth ministry.
  • Develop and coordinate dynamic and attractive worship experiences.
  • Develop and implement small group ministry and opportunities for students to connect.
  • Develop and implement consistent pathway for students to serve on teams within the church.
  • Lead students into opportunities to participate in influence experiences with the church.

5. Develop a growth strategy for student reach and volunteer service that produces consistent and measurable outcomes annually.

  • Capture student and family information for outreach, follow-up, communication, and engagement.
  • Develop a student retention plan year by year and work to maintain 50% of all students.
  • Track participation in services, groups, and events.
  • Develop and train adult and student leaders for the work of the ministry.
  • Track and celebrate salvations, baptisms, and discipleship growth in students.

6. Contribute toward the overall mission of Centerpoint.

  • Be present all weekend services at Centerpoint, currently, Saturday and Sunday, 4 services, being present to help and serve in any way.
  • Look for opportunities to invest in people through calling, visiting, listening, prayer –whether they are on your team or not (but primarily those on your team). Provide pastoral counsel when available to members of our Body.
  • Strive to maintain the unity of the Body at Centerpoint by valuing this particular Body and our mission.
  • Help keep facilities clean and orderly – empty trash, straighten chairs, restock bathrooms, keep the kitchen clean, etc. – after each youth event. In particular, make sure that the kitchen is clean, the chairs are straightened, the floors are swept clean and the kitchen/any smelly trash is placed in the dumpster at the end of the night.
  • Maintain available office hours, at least 20 hours per week (assuming other time is spent in youth functions or off-site with students) with the potential to be ‘pastor on duty’ when needed.
  • Give of your gifts and skills to help the overall ministry thrive; (video editing/graphics/cleaning/help with other ministries).
  • Grow in your own personal relationship with the Lord and in spiritual disciplines to stay spiritually strong and healthy.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree preferred, Graduate degree a plus
  • 3-5 years of ministry experience preferred
  • Willing to pursue ministry education and ordination as appropriate

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
1) Our goal is to make sure that you are leading from a healthy place. That includes mentally, physically, spiritually.
2) Some hours are at a desk.
3) Able to lift up to 30 pounds. (Ramps, amps, tables, etc)

Senior Leadership Team Director of Experiences and Communications

The person in this role will give leadership and direction to worship, production, and communications so that our weekend services and communications are on point, inspiring, engaging and impactful. 

POSITION
The Director of Communications & Experiences will be an extraordinary person with an exceptional passion to communicate that God is doing amazing things in the people and ministries of Centerpoint through the power of story, using words, pictures, and experiences.
The DCE will provide the senior level leadership and active management of the communications, worship, and production areas of Centerpoint Church, resulting in excellent in-person and online weekly experiences with clear and compelling internal and external communications designed to lead and support a growing body of passionate followers of Christ!

ACCOUNTABILITY
The Director of Communications & Experiences will be accountable to the Executive Pastor and leads the Worship Arts Pastor, Production Manager, and Communications Manager positions.

FIT
The ideal candidate for this position will have progressive industry experience leading a communications department or serving as the voice of a mission-driven organization. They will have built and led campaigns, brand stories, and/or have experience with community organizing.
The candidate will be versed in leveraging both traditional and emerging platforms with the ability to employ analytics in evaluating effectiveness in marketing efforts. The DCE will have a working understanding of how to measure the return on investment for marketing and how to build targeted campaigns using industry KPI Methodology along with CRM and Project
Management tools.

This person will lead with enthusiasm and be energetic and excited to tell the story of transformed lives, mission forward opportunities, and creating a clear communication strategy for the organization. The candidate will have high relational capacity and experience in leading both staff and volunteers. As the leader for Experiences at Centerpoint, the candidate will have experience in giving direction and oversight to the Worship and Production Team in creating a meaningful and creative space for people to experience God. Additionally, the candidate will be able to design and implement systems and protocols as standards for gatherings and experiences across all ministry areas to build continuity of message, mission, and values. The candidate will be

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Undergraduate degree in Communications, Marketing, or Organizational Leadership required.
Graduate Degree preferred. Professional credentials in Communications or Marketing a plus as is training in ministry or theology.

A candidate for a Director role should have 7-10 years of significant management and leadership experience in ministry or non-ministry environments. Extensive experience in overseeing multiple teams with complex and overlapping areas of responsibility. Leadership experience within a large church environment or not-for-profit organization helpful. KEY RESULTS AREAS
1. Worship, Production, & Communications Department Leadership

Provide leadership over and management for the worship, production, & communications departments.

  • Participate in the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) providing integration and direction to CP Ministries from your area of responsibility and oversight.
  • Establish the worship, production, and communications departments as a cohesive, integrated coworking Ministry Area with a team culture aligned with the Centerpoint vision, culture and Ops Code through regular, periodic Ministry Area team meetings, rallies, and communications.
  • Establish and maintain clear communication flow to and from your direct reports.
  • Direct your leadership team in building teams of volunteers to execute ministry.
  • Develop and manage ministry area budgets for adequately resourcing the work including capital planning.
  • Ensure all managerial functions are being implemented with managers and leaders.
  • Align all leaders and teams with the vision, mission, and values of Centerpoint by keeping it as a priority talking point within the team.

2. Weekend Experiences & Large Group Experiences

  • Ensure cohesive excellence for adult weekend experiences and other large group adult experiences*
  • In cooperation with the Lead Pastor, provide essential direction for the creation of gathering experiences that clearly promote Centerpoint’s vision, values, and brand
  • All Centerpoint experiences across all departments / touchpoints are executed with clarity of purpose, excellence, creativity, and spiritual vitality.
  • Develop systems and protocols that ensure all gatherings are aligned with mission, leading into the discipleship pathway, and have clear calls to action that pull people into the life of the church.
  • Oversee and provide leadership for all weekend service experience elements including Baptism team, Service hosts, Communion, Testimonies, Baby dedications, etc. by ensuring that volunteer point leaders are established for these teams.
  • Inspire teams to execute gatherings with excellence and proactive attention to detail.
  • See that each Ministry Area Leads have the tools and skills to successfully build processes and volunteer teams for excellent and consistent weekend service experiences.
  • Ensure volunteers are trained to positively impact all who attend.

3. Internal Communications

  • Develop and direct effective and comprehensive communication to the entire church body providing clear pathways for all to connect and engage in the life of the church.*
  • Create and manage a clear pathway that provides intuitive ease for the church body to access information on all programs and offerings of the church that guides them toward engagement.
  • Develop weekly talking points and language flow for email blasts, social media posts, and web presence that inform and inspire the congregation and provide clear, concrete calls to action (CTA’s) for engagement.
  • Utilize strong writing skills and write appropriately to each content platform.
  • Clearly communicate the annual church rhythms of launches and special events by creating a communication calendar and protocol that leads the congregation toward participation in the life of the church.
  • Integrate communications planning by building a 52-week milestone calendar to map & schedule content
  • Develop, manage and analyze thoughtful KPIs for measuring reach/frequency effectiveness; report results on a dashboard/chart that leadership can use to implement feedback.
  • Evaluate and manage best use of platforms, ensuring redundancy, for the best and most effective communication tools available, including interpersonal relationships, CP App, web-site, and social media.
  • Develop a team of volunteers to assist in providing content, assets, and managing processes.
  • Generally, communications must always give attention to CALLS TO ACTION that are clear, compelling, and needs-based when possible.

4. External Communications

  • Implement compelling strategy for reaching the community through digital/print/visual media of all kinds, including both traditional and emerging platforms, with invitation to come, join with, or engage with Centerpoint*
  • Oversight and execution of communications and marketing strategies with the objective of drawing people into the gathering experience of the body.
  • Manage the externally-focused social media elements
  • Develop and manage the social media engagement strategies
  • Create and implement an external marketing communications plan, with input from the Directional Team supporting and promoting annual cycles including budgeting plan and resource management.

5. Online Experiences

  • Direct and expand the quality and reach of our Centerpoint online church experience*
  • Manage the digital priorities of providing an online experience of CP experiences for the purpose of meeting the needs of those who are unable to attend in person while at the same time promoting the message that it would be better if you were here.
  • Ensure that communication is consistent, creative, engaging, and informative to the needs of the congregation and the external community.
  • Develop a Public Relations strategy with supporting policies, procedures, and networks.
  • Work to ensure a consistent brand experience across multiple channels including

Website, Print, Promotion, Social Media, Video, and brand experience.

  • Bring further clarity to the communications department and strategy for engagement and execution of mission reach.

6. Brand-Story Experience
All communication, both internal & external, flows from developing, publishing and owning the brand-story experience of Centerpoint across all departments, for members and those we want to reach.

  • Establish the Centerpoint brand as easily recognizable and one that communicates excellence and values.
  • Design, develop and implement ( in collaboration with Lead Pastor ) the Marketing and Communications priorities to accomplish the CP mission and clearly communicate our vision and values.
  • Expand the use of story, testimonials, and video to improve understanding and engagement with the CP Brand.

POSITION EXPECTATIONS

TIME This position is a Full-Time, exempt. As a Director level leader, it is your responsibility to fulfill the expectations of this role, the execution of assignments to all your direct reports, and ensure collaboration with other departments and ministry areas through clear communication. This level of leadership should expect to invest the time needed to ensure success of the church and its mission including over half of your weekly time being on-site.

STAYING CURRENT
This position requires intentional effort to stay current with emerging platforms, software & hardware resources and relevant innovations, through attending conferences where appropriate
(online or in person); keeping Centerpoint at the forefront of new CRM tools, platforms, and developing relationships to learn and share best practices with like organizations/churches in other markets.
