FAQ'S ABOUT STREAMING ONLINE CHURCH

Our Centerpoint Church services are steamed every week online!
Here are a few answers to common questions.

Where can I join online service?

Services are online Saturdays at 5pm and Sundays at 9am and 11am on the following online platforms:

https://mycenterpoint.online.church (preferred)

https://livestream.com/mycenterpoint

https://www.facebook.com/mycenterpoint

Does it matter which platform I use to join the online experience?

Mycenterpoint.online.church – this is our preferred platform – it allows us to engage well as the ‘church’. Engagement works best from a laptop/desktop or tablet/iPad.

Livestream.com – this tends to be the least “glitchy”; also you can easily register on this site and then you will get a notification whenever we are ‘going live’. There isn’t much of a place for engagement.

Facebook – The Facebook feed requires you to scroll down until you see the ‘live’ post. A little cumbersome, but it’s familiar. At the same time, Facebook has been shutting down some church live streams because it is flagging the content for ‘copyright’ or other matters.

What do I do if it stops working midstream?

Try refreshing the website, if issues persist, try using one of the other platforms.

If the streaming stops working or isn’t working at the right time should I post something in the chatbox?

If you encounter this issue after trying the above solution, feel free to say something in the chat/comments. If it’s not a personal internet issue, chances are a solution is in the works!

How can I view it on my TV?

If using a laptop to join the live stream and want to view from your TV, one common option to connect your laptop to your TV is by using an HDMI cable. Most laptops have an HDMI port, though some Macbooks may not. Follow the link below that matches your situation:

If using a smartphone to join the live stream, you may need to use an HDMI adapter though it may be possible to connect your phone to your TV the adaptor. Below are guides for connecting your Android phone (i.e. Samsung) or your iPhone to your TV:

What does “buffering” mean?

When a video is buffering, it is needed to pre-download some of the content before playing the video. Longer buffering times may be due to a slow internet connection. If the video doesn’t start playing after 30 seconds, try refreshing the page.

If I can’t join Saturday at 5pm or Sunday at 9am or 11am is there still a way for me to experience the service?

YES. While we hope to gather at the same time in order to still be “together”, we recognize that may not always be possible. Go to mycenterpoint.tv and scroll down until you see “LAST WEEKEND’S MESSAGE”. From there you can watch the most recent weekend’s sermon or even browse the previous sermons.

Is there a podcast version of the message?

Yes! The podcast is called Centerpoint Church Murrieta.

Are there other activities at church I can be a part of?

We encourage everyone who wants to be more connected with us to join an online small group email sshears@centerpointmurrieta.com for your next step.
